Therapy with Claire Meade LPC-Associate in Austin Tx
Hello!Claire offers relational, somatic, trauma-informed therapy for adults and adolescents in Austin, navigating burnout, chronic stress, people-pleasing, boundaries, and neurodivergent identity exploration.
You might be here because…
You’re functioning on the outside, but inside you feel exhausted, like you’re always behind, always bracing, and you don’t know how to actually rest.
You keep saying “yes” when you mean “no,” and then you feel resentful, guilty, or exhausted… and you want to learn about how to set healthy boundaries
Old stuff keeps showing up in the present; hypervigilance, shame, big reactions, numbness, and you want trauma-informed support that moves at a pace your nervous system can handle.
How I work
I work relationally and somatically, with a trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming lens. That means we’ll focus on building real safety and connection, while also paying attention to how your nervous system, sensory experience, and stress responses show up in day-to-day life (including the “why am I like this?” moments).
I tend to move slowly and intentionally, helping you make sense of overwhelm, burnout, boundaries, and emotional regulation in a way that feels steady and doable. We are in the work together, and with my relational approach I bring a lot of warmth and even a healthy dose of humor now and then to help us find room to breathe, feel more grounded, and get unstuck.
Areas of Focus
Work stress & burnout
Chronic overwhelm/feeling stuck
People-pleasing, boundaries & perfectionism
Neurodivergent identity exploration, ADHD/autism-affirming
Trauma & CPTSD (trauma-informed)
Emotional regulation & nervous system support
Relationships & interpersonal effectiveness
Fit Matters
I’m likely a good fit if…
You value a calm, supportive relationship with your therapist
You want to better understand your needs, patterns, and boundaries
You’re open to creative and body-based ways of exploring emotions and stress
I may not be the best fit if…
You’re looking for highly structured, directive sessions every time
You want quick solutions without space for reflection and relationship-building
You prefer a more clinical, skills-only approach
About Claire
Supervised by: Dr. Maria Reyna, LPC-S
Hello! I’m Claire (she/her), an LPC-Associate in Austin. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest. I came to counseling closer to mid-life (fellow late-bloomers, where y’all at?!) after years in nonprofit, community-oriented work, so I bring a deep respect for the diversity of people’s experiences and perspectives.
My style is relational, client-centered, and embodied. I’ll meet you with warmth and empathy, and we’ll move at a pace that supports safety and trust, sprinkling in humor and laughter along the way. I believe healing happens through connection: to ourselves, to others, and to the communities that sustain us.
We live in wild times. I try to make room for anxiety, curiosity, and grief, while also holding space for hope, compassion, and even joy.
