Work with ecotherapist Meg Mattingly LPC
Hello!Meg offers 1:1 therapy to adults looking for support through life transitions and identity exploration
How I work
What a gift it is that we don’t have to figure out it all out on our own. We not only have each other but also the trees, the flowers, the honeybees, the birds, the wind, and the rivers as our friends and teachers.
Healing, much like nature, moves in seasons, and no season is a mistake. We live in a culture that wants our growth to be constant, visible, and fast. But anyone who has spent time outside in nature knows that is not the rhythm Mother Nature intended. There are seasons of new growth, and there are seasons of quiet stillness. All are relevant and needed.
I bring this ancient wisdom into my work as a nature-based therapist, alongside the teachings of nonviolent communication, self-compassion, and parts work. I think I’m a good fit for other seekers, curious souls, and those looking to deepen their connection to self, the natural world, and their communities.
Areas of Focus
Moms & Stepmoms in any stage of Parenting (It’s all hard, y’all!)
Late Bloomers- I see you! Let’s shift that story of “I’m behind” to “I’m right where I’m supposed to be”
ADHD Women looking for support, tools, and someone who just gets it.
Religious Trauma- deconstructing, rebuilding, and discovering what’s on the other side for yourself
Queer & Trans folks- identity shifts, family & relationship dynamics, finding your true self…lets’s talk about it all.
About Meg
Founder & Lead Therapist
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Willow Tree Collective. I earned my master’s from Seminary of the Southwest, where I began integrating spirituality and nature into my work. Before becoming a therapist, I cultivated a love for the outdoors and community engagement, shaped by a winding, unexpected path (including a stint living in a horse barn!).
I bring many identities to my work: bio parent/stepparent, partner, entrepreneur, neurodivergent, queer, late bloomer, and community builder. Nature is one of my greatest teachers. I find meaning everywhere, and believe the natural world invites us to slow down, embrace change, and stay rooted in the present.
Outside of work, you’ll find me playing with my kids, birding with my partner, collecting a new hobby, or deep in conversation with beloved friends.
