Therapy with Elizabeth Hoang LPC-Associate in Austin Tx
Hello!Elizabeth is a person-centered therapist who supports young adults and Asian American clients working through relationships, family patterns, and life transitions.
You might be here because…
As an Asian American, you’re trying to balance two cultures, figuring out identity, belonging, and family expectations while navigating career or life transitions.
You’re working on liking yourself more, building real confidence, being kinder to yourself, and wanting support that feels steady and human (not a quick fix).
You’re trying to make sense of a relationship that’s been feeling hard lately. More tension, more miscommunication, or just not as connected as you want to be.
Family stuff is complicated, and even if it’s “in the past,” it still seems to show up in how you feel, cope, or relate to other people.
How I work
I take a holistic, person-centered approach, which means we’ll start with what matters most to you. You don’t have to come in with the “right” words or a perfect plan. Together, we’ll slow things down, get curious about what you’re feeling, and connect the dots between what’s happening now and the patterns that may have been building over time. I’ll guide the process with thoughtful questions and a steady, supportive presence, while keeping your goals at the center of our work.
I often describe therapy like a road trip: we’re headed toward the same destination, but there are different routes we can take. I’m not here to lecture or hand you quick answers. I want you to discover what feels true for you, because that kind of change tends to last. You can expect a relationship that’s warm and real, where honesty is welcomed, and we can talk openly about what’s working, what isn’t, and what you need as you grow.

Fit Matters
I’m likely a good fit if…
You want to notice patterns and themes that keep showing up in your life or relationships.
You’re ready to put in effort between sessions and try new ways of responding, even if it’s uncomfortable at first.
You want a therapist who feels warm and supportive, but will also be honest with you in a caring way.
I may not be the best fit if…
You’re looking for a very direct, highly structured, “tell me exactly what to do” style of therapy.
You want quick fixes or immediate answers more than a deeper, lasting change process.
You prefer a more formal, serious, or confrontational approach from the very beginning.
About Elizabeth
Supervised by: Lora Peters LPC-S
I obtained my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at the Seminary of the Southwest. I graduated with a bachelors in sociology from UT in 2019. Last year, I moved to Thailand to teach English and made the choice to do so in order to fully immerse myself in a different culture, especially one where mental health was not so outwardly spoken about. Coming from an Asian background myself, I understand the deep stigmatization that comes with mental health struggles. I have learned so much in my short time living abroad, things that I will bring into my work as a therapist.
I look forward to building a safe space with you where you can explore your mind and troubles without fear of judgement. We are here on this journey together to figure out what path of healing and growth is the best for you. My goal is to help you recognize and utilize your strengths to help you find your solutions. Together, we will walk the path of achieving your goals. You are the expert in your own healing. In the times that you are having trouble believing in yourself, I will be there to hold that space for you. We are a team!
